Anton has been surfing actively for three years, mostly at My Khe Beach and the nearby breaks. He tracks conditions every day — wave height, wind direction, swell period and how the sandbanks are shifting — and uses that daily read to choose the right spot for each lesson.
He teaches beginners and early-intermediate surfers, mostly international visitors and Russian-speaking travellers who want structured instruction in a language they understand. He has worked with solo learners, couples and small groups of up to three.
How he teaches
Each movement is introduced on the beach before you try it in the water. Anton gives one correction at a time so you can apply it on the next wave rather than overthink it. In the water he stays close, helps you read the moment and explains what to adjust — without overloading you with instructions.

Basic lesson

Private lesson

One-to-one, tailored to your level and goals. Detailed work on paddling, positioning, wave selection and riding. For students with some experience, lineup practice is possible.

Deposit and cancellation
- To confirm your booking
- A deposit of 20% of the lesson price is required the day before your session. This lets us prepare equipment and check the forecast for a suitable spot.
- If we cancel or conditions are unsafe
- If we cancel because conditions are unsuitable, you can choose a full deposit refund or reschedule at no extra charge.
- If you cancel
- The 20% deposit is non-refundable. We recommend booking once you are confident about your date.

What to expect in your first lesson
The example below shows a Full session (1.5–2 hours). The Basic lesson covers steps 1–5 in about one hour; the Private lesson follows the same structure with more time in the water.

Head into the water
30–40 minutesGet comfortable on the board and learn when to start riding the whitewater. Your instructor helps you find the right position and gives feedback as you practise.

Catch your first waves
40–50 minutesKeep practising in the whitewater or on small waves. Your instructor helps you refine your paddling, pop-up timing and stance, explaining what to adjust on each attempt.
A Full session lasts approximately 1.5–2 hours. We finish by discussing what went well and what to work on next. If conditions are not safe, we reschedule at no extra charge.
Where we teach in Da Nang
Lessons take place at different spots along the Da Nang coast. The location is not fixed — we choose it based on the wind, swell, your level and how busy the water is on your lesson day.
We look for offshore or cross-offshore wind that keeps the wave face clean, smaller swells that break close to shore, and a section with enough space to learn without other surfers nearby. Beginners work in the whitewater; once you are catching waves consistently we move further along the break.
Most lessons take place at My Khe Beach or a quieter nearby break. The forecast can shift in hours — we check conditions on the morning of your lesson and send the exact meeting point via your chosen messaging channel, 30 minutes before the start.

What to wear and bring
Wear a rash guard or long-sleeved swimwear if you have it. If not, we can lend you a rash guard and a sun hat with a chin strap. Bring a swimsuit, towel and SPF 50+ sunscreen. We provide the surfboard and drinking water.
What to wear surfing in Da NangWhat to tell us before booking
You need to be able to stay afloat. Please let us know in advance if you:
- are booking for a child;
- are not a confident swimmer or feel anxious in the water;
- have an injury or a health condition that may affect the lesson.

If you need to reschedule
If we cancel because conditions are unsuitable — no surf, storm, strong wind or lightning — you can choose a full deposit refund or reschedule at no extra charge. If you cancel after paying the deposit, the 20% deposit is non-refundable.
Already confident in the surf and just need a board? You can rent a soft-top surfboard for your own practice, with handover at an agreed location in Da Nang.

Can I join if I have never surfed before?
Yes. Our beginner lessons start with the basics — board familiarisation, safety and key movements before you try short rides in the whitewater.
How long is a first surf lesson?
Depends on the format: Basic lesson ~1 hour, Full session ~1.5–2 hours, Private lesson ~2–2.5 hours. All include a beach warm-up, safety briefing and time in the water.
How much do surf lessons in Da Nang cost?
Three options, all prices per person:

What is included in a surf lesson?
A beginner-friendly soft-top surfboard, basic theory, a warm-up, safety briefing and time in the water with your instructor. We provide drinking water and can lend you a rash guard and sun hat if needed.

Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
You do not need to be a strong swimmer, but you must be able to stay afloat and remain calm in the water. If you are not a confident swimmer, tell us before booking so we can advise on a suitable lesson.
Can children take lessons?
Yes, but please contact us first. Suitability depends on your child’s age, confidence in the water and the conditions on the day.
What if conditions are unsuitable?
We check wind and waves before every lesson. If we cancel because conditions are unsuitable, you can choose a full deposit refund or reschedule at no extra charge. If you cancel after paying the deposit, the 20% deposit is non-refundable.
